Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. Entering names and spinning works with no sign-up at all — the wheel runs entirely in your browser. An account only adds cloud saving and short links.

Is the spin actually random?

Each spin draws from crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographic random number generator, rather than a plain arithmetic shuffle.

Getting the same name twice in a row is normal. Every spin is independent, so earlier results have no effect on the next one. If you're drawing several winners, press Remove in the winner dialog to take each one off the wheel.

How many entries can I add?

There's no hard cap. Past roughly 60 entries the labels get too narrow to read, so the wheel keeps the colours but shrinks the text.

Why did saving or sharing fail?

Those features depend on the account and sync service, which is currently having problems. Check the service status page. Spinning is unaffected.

Can I close the ads?

Yes. Press Close ads above the top banner and they stay hidden for the rest of your session. Details are in the ads policy.

Can I use it while streaming?

Yes — add the page as a browser source in your streaming software. Common uses are picking a random challenge, rolling a character build, or drawing a winner from chat.
